Sniffari
Sniffari is an hour-long visit for our canine friends! They will get to enjoy a car ride to a dog friendly trail, and being on a longer lead, get to explore as many smells as they desire for a whole hour!
Your dog’s nose is a very important tool. According to an article from The Spruce Pets, when dogs are allowed to sniff on their walks, they get olfactory stimulation and with the freedom to choose how their adventure goes, leaves them more satisfied and relaxed when they get home. The goal of Sniffari is not to see how far we can get in the hour, it’s to just take our time and explore the world! Giving the dogs time and space to exercise their nose and brain, will in turn make them happier at home!

Rate
$100 – This includes the taxi ride (in a Chewie Boots employee vehicle) from your home, the hour-long exploration, and bringing them back home. The visit will start when we get to the destination and start exploring!
When is Sniffari Offered?
Sniffari will be offered during the warmer months when the temperature is between 50 and 80 degrees.
Do I need to provide anything special for Sniffari?
We highly recommend a harness, treats and a water bowl* while your dog explores. Chewie Boots will provide a longer lead, to make sure the pet is secure while they are exploring. It is also highly recommended that your dog is on a flea and tick preventative, as well as a heartworm preventative, and current on vaccines. We will stick mostly to trails, but if the dog wants to explore in some brush, they could pick something up.
*A harness is ideal to protect the neck from injury if the dog pulls hard or decides to run fast and reaches the end of the leash suddenly. Their own treats would be best if your dog has allergies to certain foods, and a portable water bowl that is their own is more sanitary than a communal one.
